Product summary

"Filorga - Age-Purify Mask Double Correction Mask" is effective for: Moisturizing, Anti-blemish, Exfoliation, Anti-aging and Evens skin tone

Ingredient callouts

  • A good concentration of Niacinamide (2.10% - 2.50%). Niacinamide is a well-studied multi-tasking active. It is stable, and can work well in almost any hydrating formulation. There is solid evidence that Niacinamide can help support skin barrier, regulate oil production and reduce acne and clogged pores. It also helps to fight photodamage and improve the skin tone, reducing pigmentation marks.
  • This product contains acids (gluconolactone 0.70% - 1.05%, glycolic acid 0.25% - 0.50%, mandelic acid 0.25% - 0.50% and lactic acid 0.25% - 0.50%). Their concentration is low, and they will not have a strong exfoliating effect. Instead, they work to support the skin natural acid mantle and to attract water (as humectants). PHAs (gluconolactone) especially are great for improving skin hydration. They might be even able to stimulate the production of skin's natural humectants and support the healthy skin microbiome.
  • This product also contains Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). It can be an effective active for anti-aging and evening out the skin tone, but in this product it is used for stabilizing other ingredients in the formulation. In this concentration (0.25% - 0.45%) it cannot have a noticeable benefit for the skin.
  • This product includes a form of Retinoids (vitamin A) - retinyl acetate 0.25% - 0.50%, but this type of vitamin A is not very effective. It could in theory help with fine lines and wrinkles, but the effect is most likely minimal.
  • Peptides (dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate 0.25% - 0.45%). Peptides are a very big group of ingredients. They all consist of a different combination of aminoacids. Our skin produces Peptides naturally. Some of them work as natural antibiotics, promote wound-healing and production of collagen. The scientists are still studying how effective the topical application of Peptides is, but it is very likely that theynare helpful. Peptides might be able to support skin barrier restoration and even have an anti-aging benefit. At the very least, they certainly help attract water to the skin and support the hydration in this way.
  • Humectants (inositol 0.25% - 0.50%, glucosamine hcl 0.25% - 0.50%, glutamic acid 0.25% - 0.50%, aspartic acid 0.25% - 0.45%, glycine 0.25% - 0.45%, alanine 0.25% - 0.45%, sodium hyaluronate 0.25% - 0.45%, zinc pca 0.20% - 0.40% and glycerin 5.40% - 6.60%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.
