Product summary

"Filorga - TIME-FILLER 5XP Correction Cream-Gel - All types of Wrinkles + SLEEP & PEEL Micro-Peeling night Cream Free" is effective for: Exfoliation, Evens skin tone, Anti-blemish, Anti-aging and Moisturizing

Ingredient callouts

  • This product contains acids (lactic acid 0.20% - 0.75% and glycolic acid 0.30% - 0.70%). Their concentration is low, and they will not have a strong exfoliating effect. Instead, they work to support the skin natural acid mantle and to attract water (as humectants). Lactic acid is particularly good in attracting water to the upper layer of the skin and improving the skin barrier.
  • This product also contains Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). It can be an effective active for anti-aging and evening out the skin tone, but in this moisturizer it is used for stabilizing other ingredients in the formulation. In this concentration (0.35% - 0.85%) it cannot have a noticeable benefit for the skin.
  • This moisturizer includes a form of Retinoids (vitamin A) - retinyl acetate 0.20% - 0.75% and retinyl acetate 0.20% - 0.80%, but this type of vitamin A is not very effective. It could in theory help with fine lines and wrinkles, but the effect is most likely minimal.
  • We like that this moisturizer contains peptides (palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 0.35% - 0.80%, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 0.35% - 0.80%, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 0.35% - 0.80%, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 0.35% - 0.80% and dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate 0.20% - 0.80%). There are many different kind of Peptides and they are naturally present in our skin. They all are a combination of aminoacids. Some of them work as natural antibiotics, promote wound-healing and production of collagen. The science is still not settled on how effective Peptides are in skincare, but it is very likely that they have a benefit. Peptides might help restore the skin barrier and fight the signs of aging. At the very least, Peptides work as humectants: they attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve its hydration.
  • Salicylic acid (0.20% - 0.80%) in this product will have an exfoliating effect and help smooth the skin. We, however, do not recommend using a moisturizer with Salicylic Acid daily to avoid over-exfoliating.
  • Adenosine 0.20% - 0.80%. It is a compound that in involved in many biological processes inside the skin cells. According one high-quality clinical trial, topical Adenosine in low concentrations can somewhat help improve "deep wrinkles" - the wrinkles that appear with age in places where our faces are most dynamic (for example, on the forehead or in the corners of the eyes).
