Product Summary

"Dr Dennis Gross - One Step Acne Eliminating Pads" is effective for: Anti-aging, Exfoliation, Anti-blemish, Anti-inflammatory, Moisturizing and Evens skin tone

Ingredient callouts

  • This product contains acids (lactic acid 0.10% - 0.50% and glycolic acid 0.15% - 0.60%). Their concentration is low, and they will not have a strong exfoliating effect. Instead, they work to support the skin natural acid mantle and to attract water (as humectants). Lactic acid is particularly good in attracting water to the upper layer of the skin and improving the skin barrier.
  • This product also contains Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) 4.50% - 6.70% It can be helpful in stimulating collagen production, neutralizing free radicals in skin and improving pigmentation marks. We recommend to use up this product quickly after opening: Ascorbic Acid degrades fast when it gets in contact with air and light. The moment the product turns orange, it is a sign that a significant share of the vitamin C in it is no longer effective.
  • This product contains an effective form of Retinoids (vitamin A): retinol 0.15% - 0.50%. Retinoids are potent multitasking actives. They work to improve and prevent early signs of aging, reduce hyperpigmentation (age spots and post-acne marks), and prevent inflamed blemishes and clogged pores. The downside of Retinoids is that they can be irritating. If you are not already using a Retinoid in your routine, it is best to start slowly and apply the Retinoid product only a few times per week. If your skin tolerates it well, you can gradually increase the frequency to daily.
  • Peptides (tetrapeptide-21 0.10% - 0.40%). There are many different kind of Peptides and they are naturally present in our skin. They all are a combination of aminoacids. Some of them work as natural antibiotics, promote wound-healing and production of collagen. The science is still not settled on how effective Peptides are in skincare, but it is very likely that they have a benefit. They might help restore the skin barrier and fight the signs of aging. At the very least, Peptides work as humectants: they attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve its hydration.
  • Humectants (zinc pca 0.05% - 0.20%, saccharide isomerate 0.10% - 0.40%, glycerin 0.15% - 0.70%, glutamic acid 0.20% - 0.70% and copper pca 0.40% - 0.90%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.
