Product Summary

"Murad - Rapid Resurfacing Peel" is effective for: Antibacterial, Evens skin tone, Exfoliation, Anti-aging and Moisturizing

This product could be helpful for: Anti-inflammatory, Anti-oxidation and Anti-blemish, but its actives are not the most effective or are not well-studied.

Ingredient callouts

  • This product contains acids (glycolic acid 2.80% - 4.20%). Their concentration is low, and they will not have a strong exfoliating effect. Instead, they work to support the skin natural acid mantle and to attract water (as humectants).
  • This product also contains Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). It can be an effective active for anti-aging and evening out the skin tone, but in this product it is used for stabilizing other ingredients in the formulation. In this concentration (0.85% - 1.25%) it cannot have a noticeable benefit for the skin.
  • Another helpful ingredient in this product is Linoleic Acid. It is one of the fatty acids naturally present in skin. It is part of the skin barrier. Preliminary research shows that it might be able to reduce clogged pores.
  • Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate in this product (1.10% - 1.60%) can also further help improve the skin barrier. It might be able to calm down inflammation and reduce sensitivity. Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is an active compound from the licorice root.
  • Humectants (glycerin 3.70% - 5.60% and dipotassium glycyrrhizate 1.10% - 1.60%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.

About the brand
