Peptide products for barrier repair?
A few years ago I tried Drunk Elephant’s Protini cream and my skin never looked so good. No spots, glowing and just generally healthy (I have super sensitive skin). After the sample ran out I didn’t think about it but now I really want it again. But £57? Maybe I should splurge? Is there a better alternative, any moisturiser/serum with peptides? I’ve noticed loads of products have peptides but not many have the Oligo peptides listed in Protini - I think these are the barrier repairing ones? I’m more interested in barrier repair than collagen production as I’m only in my early 20s! If anyone has any ideas let me know (I know Acure whipped cream is a dupe but it’s hard to get in the UK! Also concerned as it has vitamin C and worried it could irritate my skin)
Potential Future Routine Opinions
Currently I am doing a bare bones skincare routine of cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen while I ease back into tret. as my retinol. I’m only on week four of tret. and week one of the basic routine so I don’t plan on implementing this routine until mid-June. Is there anything anyone would omit or add? A lot of the suggestions came from the help of the skincare subreddit!
