• Ceramides (phytosphingosine 0.15% - 0.30% and ceramide np 0.20% - 0.35%). Ceramides are a type of lipids that our skin produces itself. They are a building block of the skin's barrier. Ceramides used in skincare are synthetic or extracted from plants. They work well for softening the skin surface and "patch holes" in the skin's barrier.
• Peptides (palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 0.10% - 0.20%, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 0.10% - 0.20% and acetyl octapeptide-3 0.10% - 0.15%). There are many different kind of Peptides and they are naturally present in our skin. They all are a combination of aminoacids. Some of them work as natural antibiotics, promote wound-healing and production of collagen. They also can help to reduce scarring. The good news is that these actives work even in low concentrations.
• Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) at about 0.75% - 1.15% concentration. In this concentration, Panthenol works effectively to improve the skin barrier and reduce inflammation.
• Humectants (acetyl octapeptide-3 0.10% - 0.15%, sodium lactate 0.20% - 0.35%, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer 0.30% - 0.55%, sodium hyaluronate 0.50% - 0.70%, panthenol 0.75% - 1.15%, betaine 1.80% - 2.20% and glycerin 4.80% - 5.90%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.
