This product does not offer good protection against UVA rays.
This product can help improve hydration of the skin with the two types of ingredients.
The first type is called “humectants”:
these ingredients help attract water.
When humectants are on the surface of the skin, they “pull in” the moisture from the outside environment, or from
within deeper layers of the skin. The following ingredients in this product do the job:
glycerin, sodium hyaluronate.
This product also contains ingredients called “occlusives”. They help reduce the speed with which our skin loses moisture to the outside environment. These ingredients also help soften the upper layer of the skin, so it feels less tight and nicer to the touch. The following ingredients in this product do the job: dimethicone, isononyl isononanoate.

A weak sunscreen that offers some protection against the sun rays that cause sunburn (UVB), but does not offer meaningful protection against protect against the most aging sun rays (UVA). It loses its effectiveness quickly when exposed to sunlight. It is an organic, or so called "chemical" sunscreen. When used in low concentrations, helps to stabilize the product formulation
More about HomosalateOctinoxate. When used in higher concentrations, works as a sunscreen protecting the skin from UVB rays. When used in lower concentration, helps to preserve the product formulation. Is shown to be harmful to coral reefs - consider avoiding bathing in coral reef areas when wearing a product with this ingredient. It can be irritating
More about Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamateWorks as a UV filter when used in high concentrations. It is photostable and is effective mostly against the UVB light, with some protection in the UVA range. In small concentrations, used for its ability to improve the color of cosmetic products. Is usually well tolerated by the skin
More about Titanium dioxideForms a protective film on the surface of the skin to prevent moisture loss. Gives a velvety feel to products while reducing tackiness
More about Isononyl isononanoateA synthetic ester of salicylic acid that is used to help disperse pigments and boost effectiveness of sunscreen ingredients. It is able to absorb UV light (working as an organic, or chemical filter), but is not approved as a sunscreen ingredient on its own
More about Butyloctyl salicylateUsed to preserve products, dissolve other ingredients and create a nice product texture
More about Pentylene glycolA silicone that helps to reduce water loss from the surface of the skin. Can temporarily "fill in" lines and wrinkles, absorb oil, and create a nice product finish
More about DimethiconeOne of the best moisturizing ingredients. Naturally present in skin. It attracts water to the upper layer of the skin working as a humectant
More about GlycerinHelps oil and water mix together
More about Peg-20 methyl glucose sesquistearateHelps water and oil mix together
More about Methyl glucose sesquistearateHelps oil and water mix together
More about Potassium cetyl phosphateMight help to attract water to the upper layer of the skin
More about Cocos nucifera waterUsed to thicken the product formulation and might help to add minerals to the surface of the skin. It is used in scrubs as a physical exfoliant. Can increase sensitivity to other ingredients if left on the skin or used in high concentration
More about Sea saltUsed to thicken the product formulation and might help to add minerals to the surface of the skin. It is used in scrubs as a physical exfoliant. Can increase sensitivity to other ingredients if left on the skin or used in high concentration
More about Maris salOne of the best moisturizing ingredients. Attracts water into the upper layer of the skin
More about Sodium hyaluronateCan work as an exfoliant but is typically used to adjust the product pH
More about Citric acidAn active component of chamomile plant that historically has been used to calm down irritated skin. A recent study shows that bisabolol indeed can have some anti-inflammatory effect on skin, even though conclusive data is lacking. Bisabolol has a sweet floral scent and can be added to products for its aromatic properties
More about BisabololPure form of vitamin E. Can help moisturise and protect the skin from free radicals. Often used to help stabilise other ingredients or the formula itself
More about TocopherolPlant extract that can have healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a potential allergen and can be irritating
More about Chamomilla recutita flower extractCan contain potent anti-oxidant compounds (abbreviated ECG, GCG, EGC, and EGCG) that might help protect the skin from free radicals. Can help calm down inflammation and has some anti-bacterial properties. Unfortunately, these antioxidants are unstable and lose their effectiveness very quickly in products. The concentration of the antioxidant compounds in the extract also tends to be low to be effective in topical formulation
More about Camellia sinensis leaf extractA plant extract that can help to attract water to the upper layer of the skin and might have some anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
More about Chlorella vulgaris extractDerived from brown algae. Helps attract water to the upper layer of the skin
More about Hydrolyzed alginAn emollient that softens the skin and forms a protective layer on its surface. Helps water and oil mix together
More about Glyceryl stearateHelps oil and water mix togehter and creates a nice product texture
More about Peg-100 stearateIncreases thickness of a product. Texture enhancer for oil-in-water emulsions
More about Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymerUsed to create a thicker product consistency
More about Xanthan gumA preservative. It helps prevent bacterial growth in cosmetic products
More about PhenoxyethanolHomosalate, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Titanium dioxide, Water, Isononyl isononanoate, Butyloctyl salicylate, Pentylene glycol, Dimethicone, Peg-40 stearate, Glycerin, Peg-20 methyl glucose sesquistearate, Methyl glucose sesquistearate, Potassium cetyl phosphate, Cocos nucifera water, Cocos nucifera fruit juice, Sea salt, Maris sal, Sodium hyaluronate, Citric acid, Bisabolol, Tocopherol, Chamomilla recutita flower extract, Camellia sinensis leaf extract, Chlorella vulgaris extract, Hydrolyzed algin, Glyceryl stearate, Peg-100 stearate, Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan gum, Farnesol, Chlorphenesin, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate, Disodium edta, Phenoxyethanol

"DCL - Ultra-Light Hydrator SPF 30" does not provide enough UVA protection. UVA rays do not cause sunburn, but still damage the skin, leading to early signs of aging and pigmentation issues.
Its formula is also hydrating, so you might not need an additional moistruizer during the day.
This sunscreen uses a mixture of both mineral and organic (so-called "chemical") UV filters. The organic filters in the product are: butyloctyl salicylate, octinoxate and homosalate. As for the mineral filters, this sunscreen uses titanium dioxide.
