Hydroquinone instructions:
- Start small, half a dime size on your fingertips, spread between both hands on your fingertips and apply as evenly as you can to your cheeks, forehead, chin, and nose. If you have dark circles, you can apply there too but avoid getting too close to the eye.
-Avoid crevasses (like around your nose), eyebrows, and eyelids.
-If you feel like anywhere didn't get an even layer, use a little more and spread thinly.
-I occasionally do a little extra on spots.
-Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to soak in before applying anything else. If you apply your other products too soon you run the risk of getting it in your eyes as it will mix with anything you put on after.
-Wash your hands after applying!!
-If your skin is peeling/dry, skip the hydroquinone that day and resume when the peeling stops.
-Dr. Idriss says to use it one month on, two months off. If you use it too much it can actually darken the skin.
Notes:
If before you do your skin care in the morning or evening, you feel like your skin is sensitive, skip the steps I labeled as actives.
If your skin gets red and inflamed at all for any reason you can use a thick layer of triple paste and it will calm it down/heal by morning. The reason triple paste works for that is because of the high concentration of zinc in it. You'll look like a ghost but your skin will be sooo soft.
Some extra notes/thoughts.
-I skip hydroquinone a lot. I use it maybe once a week or two days in a row and then don't use it for a week. My skin can pretty much only handle two days in a row. If I do more than that my skin gets flakey and pills up under my sunscreen/cc cream.
-I use a much stronger liquid exfoliant that's cheaper than the one I put on your list. I picked that one because mandelic acid is good for hyperpigmentation and it's what I used at the beginning of getting rid of my scarring. You'll have to let me know if you wanna try a different one.
-I love the textures of everything I put on here for ya, if you don't like any of them I can easily find a different one.
