Based on the ingredients included, "AMPERNA - Lightweight Soothing+ Emulsion" works well for moisturizing the skin. To work well, any moisturizer needs to include a combination of water-binding and emollient ingredients. AMPERNA - Lightweight Soothing+ Emulsion ticks this box. Urea, hyaluronic acid, sodium lactate and butylene glycol in this product (humectants) attract water molecules to the upper layer of the skin (the water comes from the outside air or from the deeper layers of the skin if the air is dry). Emollients in this formulation (ceramide 1, ceramide 3, ceramide 6 ii, phytosphingosine and cholesterol) help to reduce the moisture loss from the skin. They also soften the skin surface and relieve the feeling of dryness and tightness.

• Another benefit is that this moisturizer contain ceramides (phytosphingosine 1.50% - 2.30%, ceramide 1 1.80% - 2.70%, ceramide 6 ii 2.20% - 3.30% and ceramide 3 2.90% - 4.30%).
