Advice for routine please!

I have combination skin and I feel like my routine is taking care of hydrating well but I’m left quite oily during the day around my t zone and nose area and I have enlarged pores and blackheads still.

I heard niacinamide could help this so I stared using the fenty beauty fat water as it only has 5% whereas the Ordinary 10% serum caused me to have redness and sensitivity.

I heard exfoliating also helps but I’m very new to it so i started by using the ole hendricksen PHAT mask because I heard PHA’s are less rough on the skin. However I’m thinking of using salycilic acid or paula’s choice BHA exfoliating toner. I didn’t have any sensibility with the mask but I feel like it’s not doing enough.

Do you have any recommendations for targeted treatments for my issue and overall how I could improve my routine ?

Thanks a lot

My favourite way of adding niacinamide to a routine is to use a moisturizer that contains one. The best % of niacinamide in a product is 4-6%. Cerave moisturizers contain it, and many other good moisturizers as well: https://whatsinmyjar.com/search/moisturizers/?ingredients_by_name=Niacinamide&sortBy=Anti-blemish&sortBy=Irritancy. I am not the biggest fan of Fenty Skin products because of the fragrance it contains - so if your skin is sensitive I wouldn't repurchase it.

You definitely can try a salicylic acid serum once or twice per week in the areas where you get clogged pores.

To get even stronger effect against clogged pores, you could try a retinoid. Have you used something with a retinoid before?
