Sensitive/dry skincare recommendations?

Hi, I’m 38 years old and have dry/sensitive skin type. I’ve tried retinol, the lowest but it severely damaged my skin. I lost many, many facial fat due to retinol. So looking for any recommendations regarding sensitive/dry skin to lift and restore any damage.

All tips are welcome!! 🙌🏻

hi!!!

30 with dry/sensitive skin. alot are linked here but love the youth to the people retinAL (less harsh bc less conversions)

nothing will really help with fat but love skinfix mouisterizer and barrier repair cream

dr dennis gross SPF is my grail. theres a tiny bit of lactic acid in it I always get skin compliments and notice an IMMEDIATE difference

for wrinkles azaleic acid is good too - not as strong as retinal but similar benefits - needs to be used consistently peach slices has one without BHA/AHA in it

the naturium emulsion one is better for dry skin - they dont have it at my target but you can order online

lots of my grails here! I know glow recipe is marketed for kids but honestly, I love their stuff and it helped my skin

Thank you so much for your recommendations especially the BHA/AHA. With my skin I’ve noticed that products with lots of alcohol or fragrances will dry my skin out. Also lots of peelings with ingredients like BHA/AHA. Currently using Depology, vascaline and the Paula’s choice niacinamide. Still looking for a stable vitamin c which can be used on my skin and a growth factor.

Regarding your tip on Glow Recipe, i also highly recommend the plumping serum as well as the niacinimide. Love it!

There are so many different opinions on skin-care that aren’t even tested properly, like retinol. Many studies also showed that they can do so much damage, regarding facial fat loss. Nobody wants facial fat loss after the age of 35… those fat pads are your youth!

Thanks again for your tips, hope to get some more 😊

Hi. Are you using any lash serums like Latisse? Prostaglandin is an ingredient that causes you to lose fat around your eyes. Of course these are expensive procedures to temporarily regain volume in your face like PRF. It could be genetics too. If it’s something you’re worried about, I recommend seeing a dermatologist. I found this doctor’s video informative on the use of retinols and the different kinds. Hope this helps. https://styleaesthetics.com/retinol-how-to-keep-your-face-fat/
