What's good about the original routine:
- Effective product with 3%-4% Niacinamide (https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/cetaphil-healthy-radiance-refresh-toner-with-niacinamide) ✅
- Overall gentle routine with not too many products & actives ✅
- OK basic moistruizer (https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/cetaphil-moisturising-lotion) - we've upgraded it to a moisturizer with retinoid, but it's a good idea to keep the original product handy for days when the skin feels too sensitive for a retinoid or to add more hydration during the day when needed.
What we've changed:
- Added a daily broad spectrum sun protection ☀️ - most important part of anti-aging & even radiant skin
- Added a potent serum with Ascorbic acid stabilized with ferulic acid & vitamin E
- Changed the cleanser to a more gentle and also affordable option
- Upgraded the nighttime moisturizer to include about 0.5% retinol, ceramides & peptides
- Added a weekly gentle exfoliant with PHAs (and dropped the mask included in the original routine because of a lot of potentially irritating essential oils that are better avoided for skin with pigmentation concerns).
