I’m afraid you might be overexfoliating - 7% glycolic acid 2x a day is a lot, and then the 30% The Ordinary on top. This can lead to overly thin top layer of the skin and dryness.

In terms of moisturizers, maybe one of those?:

I agree with the overexfoliation on the previous comment, not to mention that the cleanser has salicylic acid and the toner has glycolic. all this will really make the skin more sensitive. And about moisturizers, The Ordinary NMH is good but is a cream, not fluid, if you want something lighter, La Roche Posay Toleriane fluid (and I like Anthelios for SPF too) or Dr. Dennis Gross oil-free moisture cushion. Biologique Recherche has nice products too. Hope it helps.

I actually mix the two toners, Hero and Ordinary, to dilute the acid. Is that still considered too strong?

Yes, I wouldn't recommend mixing toners - you never know with what % you'll end up, and the Hero toner contains a few potentially irritating plant extracts - so not good for mixing with exfoliators anyway. It's better to use the product without mixing, but less frequently. I know it sucks, but good skin demands patience from us:)))

You might want to consider trying a retinoid while seriously reducing exfoliation (for example, a retinoid treatment every other night, and exfoliation 1x per week - the 7% Glycolic acid from The Ordinary would work).
