Ingredient callouts
This product contains acids (lactic acid 0.60% - 1.35%). Their concentration is low, and they will not have a strong exfoliating effect. Instead, they work to support the skin natural acid mantle and to attract water (as humectants). Lactic acid is particularly good in attracting water to the upper layer of the skin and improving the skin barrier.
An effective concentration of Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) - about 3.80% - 5.70%. Panthenol helps strengthen the skin barrier, improve hydration and reduce inflammation in skin.
In addition, this product contains Allantoin (6.40% - 9.70%). Allantoin is helpful in wound-healing and can help restore the skin barrier faster. It might also be able to improve scars, but the evidence is not very strong for this.
Humectants (sodium pca 2.10% - 3.10%, glycerin 2.70% - 4.10%, panthenol 3.80% - 5.70% and allantoin 6.40% - 9.70%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.
This product can help improve hydration of the skin with the two types of ingredients.

This product contains antioxidants (melatonin) that might be able to help
neutralize free radicals in skin to lessen the damage it gets from the UV light (sun).
