Missha aqua gel sunscreen has homosalate and avobenzone. Is it safe to use? Does it contain benzene?

I think you are absolutely wise to avoid products that were found to be contaminated with benzene. An important point: though most products that were tested for benzene in the recent case were sunscreens, the benzene contamination is not related to the UV filter ingredients. Non-sunscreen product (those that do not contain UV filters) were found to be contaminated, and the majority of the sunscreens tested were free of benzene (and most of them contain avobenzone and homosalate). Missha products were not part of the test, but there is no ground to believe that they are contaminated. We believe that Missha products in general, and Missha All Around Safe Block Aqua Gel, as well as other sunscreens with avobenzone and homosalate are safe as in benzene-free.
