More affordable alternatives to Skinceuticals?

Hello WIMJ folks, so happy I've discovered this site!

I've been gifted a full Skinceuticals anti-aging regimen for my birthday about 4 months ago (I know, a super generous gift!). I've noticed a difference in my skin for sure. The products are running low now, and I wanted to re-purchase, and then I saw the price tag 🤯. I am wondering if there are alternatives that are as effective but are in the mid price range? I do not mind investing into my skin, but $160 for a bottle blows my mind. I live in California. I have normal, slightly oily skin, and an olive skin tone with some darker marks I guess from sun.

Hello Irene, welcome to WIMJ! 👋

This is a really good routine, and happy to hear that you are seeing the results. The good news that it is absolutely possible to find products similar in effectiveness to the ones you are using for probably half the price or sometimes even less. We'll let our Routine Wizard take a look 😉

Hi, Irene. I’m on the East Coast, reading your message. You didn’t mention sunscreen. After proper, gentle cleansing, and moisturising, good sunscreen is the *real* holy grail. Sun protection is what will handle the dark spots long-term (mid-term, too). Especially in a sunny, sunny climate like beautiful Cali. Cheers! 👋🏼

Hi Matahari! Thank you, you are so right. I used to think sunscreen is only for the beach (and I wasn't good at it either because my skin rarely burns). Hence some pigmentation I've got 😒 I know better now and try to use it most days. Thank you so much for the reminder! 🤗
