Am I missing something?

There was one product that wasn’t available

to select with my nighttime routine. After moisturiser, I put on the Kit Melatonin Balm.

I’m finding so much difference with my skin with these products but still feel a bit dry and also want to know if I am missing something!

I use to be very acne prone, since pregnancy and giving birth my hormones have calmed down and my face has been a lot better. Still break out a bit after make up and have acne scarring on my cheeks.

Hi Luci,

When I take a look at your routine, it is so much I think. Your skin might not be tolerant because of acne prone. At first, I might advise you to use less product. Also when I look at your Kit Melatonin Balm product, the second ingredient is cetearyl alcohol. It could be irritate your skin. The second one is about your toner. You can use it every three days instead of every day. You can use calming toner for other days. Dear, Klairs, Supple Preparation Unscented Toner could be suitable for you :) It is better not to use the vitamin c serum on the days you use the BHA toner. The key is minimize your routine and use serums for blemishes and melazma. Also I can recommend you not to use retinol oil during summer. And sometimes retinols causes purging. At first, you might focus on your acne scars and minimize your routine. After that, you can put retinols on your routine. If you have any questions you want to ask, you can write to me :) Have a nice day :)

Hi Luci,

First of all, congratulations on the🐣 💛. And I am not sure how you do it with the sleeping schedule, but your skin is glowing 🥰.

But I would agree with Luci that your skin will probably feel even better and less dry with less products. Also, with hormones finding the new balance after pregnancy, the skin might get more sensitive all of a sudden, and it's a good idea to keep the routine gentle to avoid triggering pigmentation issues.

I've added the missing product: https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/kit-melatonin-night-balm. You'll notice it has quite a few risky irritants as part of its natural fragrance.

I think it might make sense to identify the products in your routine that bring the most results, and stop everything else to avoid overwhelming your skin.

I assume that you get the most results from:

AM

- Mecca Vitamin C serum

- Toleraine moistruizer

- Ultra Violette sunscreen 👍

PM:

- Cleansing milk

- Retinol oil

- I would use your Toleraine moisturizer in the PM as well.

Then, as Seda suggests, I wouldn't use your toner everyday, but reduce it to 2-3 times a week. I'd also recommend switching to another formulation, without the essential oils. For example, something like this:

or

or

(you could also check "similar products" tab on each of those to find alternatives)
