Routine Makeover for Rachael: more anti-aging benefit

Today we reviewed Rachael's routine: https://whatsinmyjar.com/posts/794/skin-routine. Rachael's skin is not sensitive, but dryness is a concern. This is why in addition to anti-aging actives, we focused on reducing the routine irritancy risk (reducing the number of irritants helps support the skin barrier and reduces dryness).

We suggest to drop the moisturizing serum, exfoliating toner and the mask from the original routine - they contain hydrating ingredients, but can also undo the benefit because of troubling the skin barrier with irritants. Instead, a solid fragrance-free moisturizer with niacinamide could work better - with less efforts.

The main addition in the "made over" routine is a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the AM, and a retinoid serum in the PM (the product from Indeed Labs with HPR and retinol is a good budget option).

Do you guys have alternative suggestions for a moisturizer and a retinol serum? We know it's always good to have a choice:)
