You could try adding a hyaluronic acid serum at the base, and or mixing squalane oil with your moisturiser. Both of this work for my dry skin.
They sell these at the ordinary & also inkey list. But if you have acne may need to read reviews on whether the brand of squalane is comedogenic.
It’s a possibility essential oils on these products are disrupting the skin barrier.
This was my thought too - your Facetheory products contain a few potential irritants, and it is very likely that your skin barrier gets challenged by them. I'd opt for a simple fragrance-free moistruizer with ceramides (Cerave is an option, but there are many other good brands), and pretty much cut out anything else from your skincare apart from a sunscreen and a cleanser at night. After 1-3 weeks the dehydration should be gone, and then you could consider adding actives like a retinoid or ascorbic acid to help address your other skin goals.
Good suggestion. Barrier repair is my goal at the moment. I’m using Paulas Choice Omega+ Complex Moisturizer and it’s excellent for this purpose.
What are you cleansing with? And can you consider adding a hydrating toner as a base before cream? That helped me massively with my dry skin.
