Years of acne and scarring

Hi

What products would be recommend for clearing skin from acne, clogged pores and a little scarring? Had it for years and tried everything under the sun and nothing seems to help or my skin has a reaction making it worse. Any tips? :)

Hi there, I feel you. I have extremely sensitive skin, I’m using no cleanser in the morning, and two serums, one is niacinamide serum from Jorgobé (it has amazing ingredients) and Oskia sleep serum with Retinoids, combined with Biossance Squalane and omega cream, on nights I cleanse with Purito from green cleansing oil, when I use make up I double cleanse (but for getting better from acne we have to beat the urge of using make up). For two/three weeks I use oskia serum and every other day the Jorgobé one, applied after moisturizer (I tried applying before but I started breaking out). Now I use in the morning the Jorgobé one and in the evenings the Oskia. Obs sunscreen is always the most important thing. My scars and acne are getting very good. Don’t change your routine in a day, new products for sensitive skin have to be introduced carefully and in time (I suggest at least a week)

Hi

Thanks for your comment! I’ve had the problem with applying serums before moisturiser but never thought to use it after so I’ll try that. Trying to find a suncream that doesn’t cause breakouts is proving to be hard as well but I know it’s important. Might also give no cleanser in the morning a try. Thank you so much! :)

Yeah, I just put lukewarm water and wipe with pai sensitive skin cloth in the morning, helped me a lot. Yeah it’s so difficult! I’m using avene intense protect spf50+, it has a bit of a glowy finish but it feel amazing and doesn’t break me. Ingredients are great too. I’ll try Biossance spf 30 next, when I finish with retinoid.

After lots of research those tips helped me a lot (serum after moisturizer as well). There are some dermatologist channels on YouTube very interesting. Dr Dray, Doctorly, Dr. Vanita Rattan, Hyram (he is not a dermatologist but knows his stuff).

No worries, I know how difficult it is! It takes time but we’ll get there.

Thanks for all the tips! I’ll definitely look into those. Drinking lots of water seems to be helping me a little as well. Fingers crossed a gradual introduction of a new routine helps.
