Thanks, I have rosacea and I forgot to mention. I would like to incorporate the skin1004 centella ampule and see how my skins reacts. The pyunkang yul toner helped me a lot with my oil control but it does make my face red in the first half and hour. Should the ampule solve this and make my skin moisturised enough so I won’t need a moisturiser?
It’s hard to tell what will work. That’s the hard part about skincare. Everyone really is different so I think people really have to go through a trial and error to find their personal best.
Personally, I feel like putting a soothing product over another product that causes irritation and then re-using the same product that caused irritability is counterproductive. But that’s me.
Hi Anto06,
I think it’s important to discover what is causing the redness. The three causes that come to my mind are
1) Disrupted skin barrier
2) Rosacea
3) Sunburn
I’d start with a simple skin barrier repair routine that includes a gentle cleanser (The Etude one you’re using looks good), a moisturizer and a sunscreen to wear every day even if you don’t go outside. I notice you’re missing that in your routine. A good one for acne is Cetaphil Dermacontrol moisturizer spf 30, but there are other good ones as well.
If after a week or so, you’re still red, you may have rosacea. In that case, you could add in The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% once daily.
The biggest red flag that stuck out to me was the Pyungkang Yul product. It contains Myrtis Communis Extract (aka Myrtle), which is very much worth avoiding if your skin is sensitive.
I hope this helps and let us know how things progress.
