I tried it and discovered it caused me a reaction to the formula. I’m going through a phase of really looking at the chemical compounds in our creams and treatments.

I’ve started using distilled water in a sprayer and use that mist on my skin before I use anything else.

I’m also using things like extremely high grade oils, like high grade virgin olive oil on my skin. I also use Castor oil on my hands feet elbows etc; wiping off the excess.

I have found with cutting out all the preservatives and chemicals in skin care has greatly improved my skin barrier and things like Cicaplast are unnecessary.

Thank you for advice :) Like u I had already been lessening preservatives-using more oils and aerosol Evian water. Sadly the wrong oil caused irritation. With research I see some oils harm the skin barrier which seems counterintuitive. Likely too much oelic acid (high certain oils such as olive oil) which is detrimental to the skin barrier/induces TEWL even while being helpful with wound healing. This research article is where I got the information: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5796020/#:~:text=In%20contrast%2C%20oleic%20acid%20is,continuous%20topical%20application%20%5B48%5D.is Seeking cicaplast dupe to reset my skin barrier as it worked before but I heard formula changed. In article/similar research I’ve found u need the right mix of fatty acids in an oil or combine oils for your unique skin needs. Think 20% max of oelic (olive, avocado etc) containing oils seems the direction for me. Glad u found what works for u. Are u able to use a moisturizer? I have gone to ointments containing ceramides as I have dry skin so I need more than oil. Also use pure glycerin mixed with h2o. On another note, I’ve heard fluvic acid mitigates damage of preservatives that disrupt our good bacteria so going to try that.

Thank you for your input. I didn’t realize Olive oil could affect the skin barrier. Look up more on your link.

I also like the idea of mixing oils.

As far as a moisturizer I’m barely using them anymore. Keep picking them up but they seem to sit in my drawer untouched.

Between sunscreen and a simple serum makeup that is about all I am using for the finishing touch.

That doesn’t mean I’m not used things before the Sunscreen. Peptides Vit C Furlic acid and everything put on top of a mister of distilled water. I gave up on Evian water; just the distilled and I use it on my hair, body, skin etc.

I think our regular tap water, was causing me reactions!
