Combining Products

I just started using this oil recently in my extensive skin care routine and then also today purchased Drunk Elephant's Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum. After comparing the products on this site I noticed they both exfoliate... will this be excessive for my skin? Or since they are both AHA's I should be fine?
