I have perioral dermatitis, what are the best products to help control it?

AM - Everyday
1
Baby, Mineral Sunscreen, Face + Body Mustela - Baby, Mineral Sunscreen, Face + Body
Use every day before going outside, even if it is not sunny. Sunscreen is the last step of your morning skincare routine. You can apply makeup on top of it.
2
Rapid Relief Restoring Lotion + Ceramides Amlactin - Rapid Relief Restoring Lotion + Ceramides
Use every day, as many times as needed. For most people, it's best to use a moisturizer twice per day. In the morning, apply it before your sunscreen (or skip the moisturizer in the morning if your sunscreen feels hydrating enough). In the evening, a moisturizer is usually the last step of a routine.
AM - Once a week
1
2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant Paula's choice - 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
You can apply this product either during the day or at night, before your moisturizer or sunscreen. You can also apply it as a spot treatment only - as in directly on inflamed blemishes or in the area where you get clogged pores. We recommend that you use the product no more than once a week on larger areas of your face. More frequent use can result in skin irritation.

1
Advanced Cleansing Body & Face Cleanser Eucerin - Advanced Cleansing Body & Face Cleanser
Use a generous amount of product to remove all dirt, sunscreen or makeup in one step. There is no need to double-cleanse. It is a good idea to always finish cleansing with a splash of clean water to remove any residue from the cleanser. Most people only need to cleanse their skin with a cleanser once per day, at night. It is the first step of a night skincare routine.

You could add a protective balm and use it a few times a day on the affected area for extra support to the skin barrier: a product like this - https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/la-roche-posay-cicaplast-baume-b5-for-dry-skin-irritations

I have the same thing as you. I strip back on actives when I have a flare up. I use micellar water and a hydrating cleanser, I sometimes use la roche posays cicaplast cleanser on the affected areas as its antibacterial and made to clean broken skin gently. I then use cicaplast b5 baume with aveeno serum or just some sort of simple hydrating serum or moisturiser underneath. Try to go simple and heal your barrier before using exfoliants or anti aging products :)
