Have you tried retinoids before? They might be the right actives for you because they both help against blemishes and also reduce pigmentation issues.

I haven’t tired retinoids. Any specific kind?

I would recommend one of these (or a combo - some products include 2-3 different forms):

- Hydroxypinacolone retinoate (https://whatsinmyjar.com/skincare-ingredients/hydroxypinacolone-retinoate)

- Retinyl retinoate (https://whatsinmyjar.com/skincare-ingredients/retinyl-retinoate)

- Retinal (https://whatsinmyjar.com/skincare-ingredients/retinal)

- Retinol (https://whatsinmyjar.com/skincare-ingredients/retinol).

It's a good idea to start slowly with retinoids, for example using your retinol product only every other night or 3x per week in the beginning. It will help build up the skin tolerance to it and avoid irritation.
