Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - Creamy Formula
This is a makeover for GraceonWheels (https://whatsinmyjar.com/posts/1509/less-expensive-alternatives-to-zo-skin-health-anti-aging-routine). It is an easy make-over, because the main active in the original routine is the most potent Retinoid - Tretinoin. It is available on prescription in most countries.
The routine also includes Hydroquinone. It is a potent anti-pigmentation active, but can come with serious side-effects. In the made-over routine, we recommend a safer anti-pigmentation combination: Niacinamide + Azelaic Acid + Thiamidol + Ascorbic Acid.
Since Tretinoin is doing the most work in this routine anyways, the rest of the products can be quite simple. And, also, not expensive 😊.

AM - Everyday
Use every day, as many times as needed. For most people, it's best to use a moisturizer twice per day. In the morning, apply it before your sunscreen (or skip the moisturizer in the morning if your sunscreen feels hydrating enough). In the evening, a moisturizer is usually the last step of a routine.
PM - Everyday
Use a generous amount of product to remove all dirt, sunscreen or makeup in one step. There is no need to double-cleanse. It is a good idea to always finish cleansing with a splash of clean water to remove any residue from the cleanser. Most people only need to cleanse their skin with a cleanser once per day, at night. It is the first step of a night skincare routine.

This routine relies on effective anti-pigment actives:
- Thiamidol 2x daily
- Niacinamide 2x daily (in the serum in the AM & moisturizer in the PM)
- Retinol + Bakuchiol 1x daily (but start every other day for the first month if you are new to retinoids).

Still a work in progress. Lots of hormonal acne recently. Still very oily.
