Is my skin care routine in the right order??

I have no idea if the order of the skincare I build using the Skincare Routine Builder is right since I've seen many online "steps" to skin care. I don't want to use too much product on my face since I don't notice much of a difference in my skin other than it getting irritated and feeling heavy on my face.

Also, is it really necessary to have so many products being used in regard to skincare? Is it possible to achieve one's skin goal with little to three or four products?

Also, I thought the cleanser was supposed to be used morning and night?? I'm kinda confused, I always hear that you should have it for am and pm. I just don't know if the order of my skin care will have some type of effect. I guess I'm used to seeing that there has to be a toner and eye cream, and retinol, etc etc.

For most people, it’s enough to cleanse only in the PM. Cleansing always challenges the skin barrier, so it makes sense to cleanse only when the skin is actually dirty. It’s not dirty after a normal night of sleep usually, so no point in adding stress to the skin barrier.

Sorry, our Routine Builder is not smart enough yet to order products in a perfect way yet. In the AM, I'd use the Cerave Vit C serum first, and then you can just go with the sunscreen (and skin the moisturizer - it's just an option if your skin feels dry and you think the sunscreen is not hydrating enough).

For the PM, first comes the cleanser. Then, I'd use the differin gel, and the moisturizer comes last.

With this routine, you'd be using 5 products in total - 2 in the AM and 3 in the PM, and you should be able to achieve excellent results for preventing signs of aging, evening out the skin tone and reducing acne and clogged pores (while keeping your skin hydrated).
