Hello! I have normal to combo skin that has had moderate acne issues since puberty. It is easily controlled by 2 a week SA usage and Differing gel. My current issue is combating acne and irritation caused by dirt and sweat from my equestrian activities.
Bit of both. I get cystic bumps around my bra line and across my back during the summer and around my forehead from my helmet.
It's probably of the same nature as maskne... You could try a benzoyl peroxide wash after sports just on this area, or a BP serum. I would try to limit the application only to the problem areas. If you chose a serum/gel (might be easier to apply precisely than wash), be careful with your clothes and towels, it can bleach. https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/neutrogena-on
Using azelaic acid on the days where you don't do sports could help rebalance the skin microbiome (basically create an environment where acne-triggering bacteria don't like that much). This product could be an option: https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/paulas-choice-10-azelaic-acid-booster-full-size (it also contains salicylic acid). It just important not to overdo it because benzoyl peroxide can be irritating. If the Paula's choice product feels too harsh, you could go for azelaic acid without salicylic, smth like this: https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/inkey-list-azelaic-acid-serum
Welcome to WIMJ WolfofReach!
So cool you are into equestrian activities! 🐎 Do the irritation and acne from it appear on your body or face?
