help me start on my makeup journey!

(please take 1 minute to read my concerns on cosmetics / makeup products! any help is appreciated 😊)

i am finally confident enough to venture into cosmetics and makeup, but i realise that education on makeup (e.g ingredients and skin-caring) is of very little concern in the industry 😞

this puzzles me as i would not want to spend so much time researching on skincare products, just to apply makeup that undos all my progress ☹️

does anyone know of any websites / dermatologists / sources that provide education on cosmetics (e.g brand/product reviews based on ingredients)? please let me know in the replies 😊🙏
