Hello Simmo! Welcome!

What body wash do you use?

Overall, washing with a more gentle product (for example, a baby wash), and with less hot water (in case you are like me and love hot showers) + moisturizing with good emollient fragrance-free moisturizer can help a lot. Also shower is less texting on our skin barrier than a bath (unfortunately).

Hi Maria,

Thank you for your reply. I shower pretty much all of the time and use Dove pro-age. I have tried loads of different moisturisers, including cerave and now on bio oil but nothing changes the appearance of my skin unfortunately

Dove is still a bit too harsh. You could try something like this: https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/aveeno-dermexa-daily-emollient-body-wash.

As for a moisturizer, how about these options?:

You can also apply a layer of simple vaseline on the dry areas at night, it is simple (and greasy 😃), but it can make wonders for softening the skin

I am a huge fan of Aveeno lotions with colloidal oatmeal. The only product that has helped me with eczema-like issues and severe dryness of my legs. I would look for the unscented products, e.g. https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/aveeno-eczema-therapy-daily-moisturizing-cream-with-oatmeal.

What also helped me a lot is getting IPL hair removing device. Now I barely need to shave and can avoid drying shaving foam and other products on my legs.
