Drying product?

Is it normal to have flaky and dry skin after using this product?

It is possible to get an irritation to it. It is also possible to overuse it - and to get flaky skin as the result. In any case, please do not continue using it if you get dryness and flakiness. I'd stop it completely for a week or two and see if the skin improves. If yes, you could add it back once per week and watch your skin reaction.

In case you stop using it, but the skin doesn't improve, the problem is somewhere else in the routine.

When I start a new product, I always test in once a week to see how my skin reacts. I stopped using it one week and my skin got "better". After using it again my skin got really bad.

They use salix alba bark water (this tree bark naturally contains some salicylic acid) - it can include other potentially irritating compounds depending on where they sourced it, how it was processed etc. it could be the source of your reaction

It's in general that COSXR products give me a really bad skin reaction so I probably won't use it ever again

What other COSRX products have you tried? I am wondering if we can figure out what ingredient / ingredients that might be? Could you also give an example of your "safe" products - product that you sure never cause you any issues?

From the COSRX line I tried the Morning Low pHd cleanser, Muncin Snail essence and the BHA Liquid.

Some other products I used without having problems are the cerave SA cleanser and their foaming cleanser and the ordinary Niacimide and their Hydrators and OilsHyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

Thanks! I'd say that the primary suspect is Ethyl Hexanediol, it is used as a solvent for other ingredients and to improve the smell. It can be an allergen and an irritant.
