The answer depends on your definition of safety. Skincare products that are legally sold in most countries in the world are safe in a sense that they will not kill you and, apart from cases of severe allergy, will not cause damage to your systemic health. In short, legally sold cosmetics is not toxic.

At the same time, cosmetics absolutely can make the state of your skin worse, and it can cause an irritation, allergy, can disrupt skin’s natural barrier and microbiome. The red rating on our website means that a product can’t deliver on what it promises (is not effective), or is likely to lead to a skin irritation - especially if you have sensitive skin. It doesn’t mean that it’s harmful to your health otherwise though
