The Drunk Elephant sunscreen is SPF 30, but contains 20% zinc oxide.
Whereas the Colorscience is SPF 50, but contains only 12% zinc oxide.
Which is more reliable? On this site it says the SPF 30 one is. But I don't get why SPF 30 is better than SPF 50. I can't decide between the two, as they both work for my sensitive skin.
Hoping someone has some insight :)
I'd definitely say that the Drunk Elephant product is a safer bet, despite a lower claimed SPF. The DE product contains 20% of zinc oxide vs. 12% of Colorscience. It is possible that 12% zinc oxide can give SPF50 with a very, very smart formulation and additional "non-official" UV filters (like Butyloctyl Salicylate that this product includes). But my guess is that you are looking into this product because it is considered to be "mineral based", and it is not entirely true. In any case, I'd go for the De Umbra Sheer
