Best non comedogenic sunscreen with a matt finish?

Hello! I've been trying out different sunscreens this year and I have yet to find one that I love. There's always something a little off about the formula. Pretty much all of the sunscreens I've tried leave me looking a little sweaty.

I'm looking for y'all's recommendations for a non comedogenic sunscreen with a matt finish that won't pill underneath makeup. I'd like if it had some moisturizing ingredients in it and I'd be especially happy if it had some vitamin C in it.

I'm comfortable with a chemical or mineral sunscreen, I don't have a preference on that.

Hi Ranita! šŸ‘‹

The Canmake Mermaid Skin UV Clear Gel is really good. It’s not exactly matt because it gives a faint glow but it’s not shiny. I haven’t tried it under makeup but it’s advertised as something that can double as a makeup primer. It doesn’t have a ton of superstar ingredients (alas, no vitamin c šŸ˜•) but it has no ā€œpore cloggersā€ and very good UV filters.

The other really good one which is my new favorite is the Beauty of Joseon Aqua fresh. That one is the closet to Matt I’ve ever found, however it still has some moisturizing ingredients. The texture is quite elegant and non-sticky. Also, no vitamin C but it does have a few nice antioxidants in it, including Ferulic Acid.

I’m interested to see what other recommendations people have.

Best of luck!

Thank you SusieQue! I just got myself the Beauty of Joseon one to try! I've been enjoying their products so far :)

Yes please let us know how you get on. I’m also looking for a decent SPF too. The Heliocare one I used to use just wasn’t quite right as it sometimes pilled, depending on which moisturiser I used under it, so decided to try a new one. Went with Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen because it’s a primer too, but it made me break out big time! Currently on holiday and not using anything šŸ™ˆ

Uh oh, the other sunscreen I bought to try was a Supergoop one, but I'm testing the mineral mattscreen so hopefully that one won't break me out!

Hi, I like your notes on products. I was just looking at the sunscreen you have in a routine. I’ve been using this one but I keep testing to find an alternative - due to the price and the country of origin as well as alcohol being high on the ingredient list.:
La Roche-Posay
Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid Fragrance-Free SPF50+

Lately I’ve tested the invisible one from Transparent Lab - but it seems to be causing my perioral dermatitis to flare up, which happens rarely nowadays so I’m surprised. But that product is genius if one doesn’t get irritated from it..
