Unclogging closed commodores products
Hey guys,
Do you have any recommendations to clear closed commodes for sensitive skin? And should I use oil cleaner? I don’t wear makeup, just skincare and spf.

Hi 👋. You could try a salicylic acid cleanser in the morning (Cerave has an acne control SA cleanser) and a benzoyl peroxide cleanser (Differin brand 5% benzoyl peroxide cleanser is great) at night followed by differin adapalene gel .1% at night.
It is a myth that cleansers with actives don’t work just because you wash them off. Apply the cleanser to your face, lather it a bit and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then rinse it. It’s called short contact and it can be a great option for those of us with sensitive skin.
You could try something like that (going slowly at first). With any skincare routine consistency is key so I’d give it at least a few weeks and see.
If it doesn’t seem to be improving after that, you could also try adding in 5% Mandelic acid (By Wishtrend makes a good one.)
Best wishes!
PS. I’m not sure about the oil cleanser because you’d have to be super careful about which oils are in it.
Having said that, Beauty of Joseon makes a great balm called Radiance Cleansing. I do know that the oils in that balm are unlikely to cause breakouts. (Bear in mind, everyone is different.)
Hi, For closed comedones gentle exfoliation is key. Since your skin’s sensitive you have to look for low concentrations of chemical exfoliants like lactic acid or PHAs, super hydrating. Start slow. maybe 1-2 times a week, and always patch test first. Use a warm, not hot washcloth, it can also help soften them before exfoliating. And for oil cleansers... Yes! Even if you don’t wear makeup, they’re great for dissolving SPF and sebum that can clog pores. Just pick a lightweight, non-comedogenic one like squalane or jojoba oil-based. Double cleanse with a mild foaming or cream cleanser after to avoid residue....Patience and consistency are key, Sensitive skin hates rush jobs. Maybe start with the oil cleanser and one active, then tweak as you go....W
