As much of the emphasis is put on the facial skincare, I am at a loss of what ingredients I should track when using body products.
I just want to nurture my body skin, and boost its elasticity/firmness but am not sure whether my "routine" is adequate or if there are better products. Any recommendations what to look for..?
Such a good question! The main 2 goals for the body skincare are: 1) protect from sun damage (especially neck, chest, hands - they get exposed a lot, often even in winter); 2) moisturize (+ 3) gentle washing without overwashing).
It looks like you are not applying a body moisturizer daily - I think it would be a very good idea. You don't need to go for anything particularly expensive, a basic body lotion can get the job done (ideally fragrance free).
You can also apply retinoid products in areas where sun damage is most likely - back of the hands, neck & chest for example.
