I have developed very sensitive (itchy) skin after showering. I have spent £s on creams to stop the itch, nothing really works. I know shower, on occasion, with just water. The discomfort is not consistent some days I’m fine. I want to keep a record and see if there are common ingredients in shower products that have this effect on me. I also would like to find a moisturiser that calms my skin.

Thank you..I’ve heard a lot of positive things about CeraVe.. I guess I should give them a ago
I’ve never heard of Dial soap..will investigate
Keeping a record of what you use and when is an excellent idea!
Recording ur progress is actually really a good idea
I would recommend totally stopping any products and using just water, sometimes some moisturisers can make things worse…
Periodd totally agree
Yeap this one!! Agree
Hi! I'm so sorry you're having trouble. I would recommend CeraVe moisturizer. It's great on sensitive skin, fragrance free (without that "no-fragrance" funk that some other brands have) and a little goes a long way! It helps rebuild the skin barrier and is gentle even on eczema.
Also would recommend fragrance free soap like Dial gold bar antibacterial. It tends to be a bit drying, but helps combat bacteria and yeast that could possibly be contributing to the itch.
Just be sure to put your moisturizer on as soon as you hop out of the shower so it can "lock in" that moisture before it evaporates from your pores.
Try to only change one thing at a time so you can do a process of elimination and to not overwhelm your skin with too much at once.
I hope you get it figured out!
