I have only used the dr.althea vit C serum and I’ve enjoyed it. I am combination and acne prone and it has not broken me out. Overall I really like this one, but after I’m done with it I’m going to try the numbuzin +5 serum.
Copy and Pasting my response from the other post: I have acne prone and sensitive skin that reddens easily, but I have always tolerated higher % Vit C very very well. But everyone's skin is different! I have used lots of Vit C serums over the years and the one I always come back to is the Timeless 20% with Ferulic. It's affordable but with the same important qualities like low pH and Ferulic that help it work better. (they also have a 10% if you want to start lower). I notice a huge improvement in my stubborn cystic acne, post-acne PIE, and skin tone very fast when I use it. Get the smaller bottle though because the formula does oxidize rather quickly, and once it turns orange it's no good anymore. I actually breakout and get irritated if I use it after it oxidizes. So use Vit C on your neck, arms, etc to get the most out of your bottle before it oxidizes!
Look into Skinceuticals. They’re notorious for working with any skin. Very pure high quality product. I am very sensitive and acne prone and I actually work well with Mario badescu. It is less expensive and does not break me out. Fantastic stuff. Just posted this for someone else but wanted to make sure you saw also :)
Hello, I recommend La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C (10%). So far it i the best I've ever tried. Currently I use Uriage: Dépiderm (20% vit C) containing also Niacinamide. It does not have the same effect as the LRP , despite of its high vit C concentration and other benefits. I also tried the one from Revox and ROC but neither of them was really effective (clean, fresh, lighter skin). Also, with all the products I mentioned , only LRP and Uriage are ok under makeup. Good luck. :)
