I've been really into Korean skincare lately but can't seem to make any decisions! Is there any products you guys highly recommend from any skincare products?
no, but i'm planning to
What’s the appeal?
Would really want to help but had bad experience with Korean brands. Either rash or rough skin after use and the strong fragrance is very aggressive too.
South Koreans are super-serious about beauty (highest rates of plastic surgery per capita), so the industry is highly competitive, and products are both of decent quality and inexpensive. (The ideal combo!)
I lived in HK for 20+ years, where Korean products were ubiquitous. I still daily/regularly use and can recommend Dr G Hydra Intensive Blemish Balm as a foundation (light, great coverage, SPF30) and Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask—Berry.
I used Banila Prime Primer Hydrating Finish Powder for years, but it wasn't available online the last time I restocked, so I tried Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder, which also works fine. (I tried a few UK brands in between, e.g. Beauty Pie Super Translucent Loose Setting Powder, but none of them was good enough to repurchase.)
I also used Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ as sunscreen for years which absorbed well and didn't pill. I'm currently using Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots & Anti-Pollution Super UV SPF50+ as it's easier to buy in the UK and I can recommend it too.
My daughters loved Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patches. And they had great fun with Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask. (Great stocking fillers.)
