I change cleansers frequently because I'm always getting a new one and my skin isn't overly upset with anything at this point so not too worried there. Are there any major ingredients I'm truly missing though foe a balanced routine?
What am I missing/what should it replace
I know it's a lot, but I have one of those skincare subscriptions, so I try and use everything I get so it doesn't get wasted though I give a lot away also. My skin or normal, with few active concerns. I do wear makeup some days and when I do I double cleanse as well

Hello there! I think it is best to keep in mind that the more ingredients you use, the likely your skin is to react to it. I truly understand the pain of loving beauty products and having an overly sensitive/reactive skin. :D What worked for me so far, is to find a very simple routine with one or two products that I always go back whenever my skin reacts to something. I know it is boring but that allows me to try on new products without feeling too worried I might irritate my skin too badly.
Now, about the cleansers, what worked for me is have one simple boring and gentle cleanser. I find cleansers the most important part of your skincare routine because if they are too agressive, anything that you put on afterwards will irritate the skin. If on the other hand, they do not clean your skin properly, you will end up with clogged pores. They are the base of everything you put on your face and for this reason I rarely, if ever, experiment with cleansers. I always used the Cerave cleanser for dry skin am & pm and I noticed this gave me a lot more freedom to experiment with serums and creams because this cleanser does not mess up with the skin's barrier. Before I used to try different cleansers but they'd always trigger my skin conditions and then I'd react to anything that I'd put on afterwards, so I would always be stuck with a boring cream recommended to me by my dermatologist. Now that I switched to a boring cleanser, I have much more freedom with everything else in my routine.
I hope this might help. :)
