Face oil and eye cream

I read somewhere that there's no point in using face oil and eye cream at the same time as the eye cream won't absorb 🤔 just wondering if anyone knows whether or not this is true?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated, thank you!

I am not an expert but I think that that's the reason you should apply your water -based eye cream first and that your face oil should be the last step in your routine ( before sunscreen, of course, if you use one). Water and oil don't mix, they are immiscible, if you use oil first it creates a "barrier " and water based product won't be allowed to penetrare into your skin.

Great question! Facial oils shouldn't be applied on/close to the eyes, so you're totally safe there. Otherwise, it depends! True, because if you put the facial oil on before water-based products, they won't absorb properly. False, because if you put the facial oil on after water-based products, the oil will protect them and keep your skin hydrated. In this instance, it's all about the order of application with emphasis on oil being the final step. Hope that helped!
