Ingrown hair help!

I have my facial skincare nailed thanks to WIMJ ❤️ but my legs are suffering! I’ve had ingrown hairs since I can remember, tried scrubbing with a glove, the ordinary glycolic acid and even the ordinary peel but nothing seems to help them… does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably cheaper ones? Thanks so much 😊

I struggle with this too! I was about to recommend the ordinary glycolic but I see you already tried that. Everytime I think I've found a solution it turns out I did not.. but I have at least seen an improvement recently. Things that have helped me is shaving in the direction of the hair, very carefully with often replaced blades and rinsing with cold water, cleaning the skin before and after shaving with a fragrance free soap. I switched my shaving foam to a aloe very gel which so far seems to make the skin less irritated. I have been much more consistent with using moisturizer which also made a difference making the skin more healthy. I alternate the BHA and retinol body lotions from Paulas choice and exfoliate with The ordinary glycolic acid a few times a week. Hope any of my advice might help you in the eternal fight against the ingrown hairs and let me know if you find any good solution!

Wow thank you!! Yeah I stopped epilating as they’re so much worse so will try the shaving thing! I am guilty of not moisturising enough so thanks for the tip! And retinol lotion wow seems like that could work

And you don’t scrub?? Maybe this makes it worse I’m not sure!

Somehow for me, there are many more ingrown hairs if I shave instead of epilating. I also use home PL laser from time to time, which also seems to be helping. There are definitely fewer ingrown hairs, but the ones that are still ingrown, are much deeper, which is actually worse... so, laser has its pros and cons.

Completely agree that moisturizer makes a difference. I use CeraVe SA Cream for Rough & Bumpy Skin, it acts as a mild exfoliant and a moisturizer at the same time. If it's too thick for you, I believe they also have a lotion.

Would also love to see others' tips and tricks :)
