This new routine is an attempt at taking better care of my skin, which I'd given up on because everything I put on it makes it turn (or used to) screaming bright red and it was getting expensive.
Enter the internet and the new awareness of the need for gentle products that do what they say they do rather than rely on marketing, fragrance, deep pockets and optimism.
I've tried to choose the gentlest, cheapest, fewest number of products. The two PM cleansers, I'm alternating to see how much my skin can take because I know I'll be taking off suncream (and possibly even make-up) in the evenings from now on.
I have dry, oily rough skin with large pores and redness. I'm also aging (I'm turning 45 in a week) and trying to close the stable door by finding a good SPF to wear from now on. The two experiments I'm waiting for are: Avene mineral tinted face SPF 50, and, Hawaiian Tropic Mineral Face SPF 30.
I don't wear foundation or primer (yet). I mostly go with mascara, lipstick and occasionally eyeshadow. If I don't have any SPF or makeup to remove, (such as now), I use Mossisons' own brand micellar water in the eve and then wash it off. It's not on here so I can't add it to my routine, and I may stop using it if my face keeps getting redder.
