Hello from Avii

So I have extremely sensitive sensitive skin, and acne oily prone skin, I didn't know much about my skin and no derm has been able to help me in the long run, researched and and cured my cystic acne without accutane, and now I'm on the look out to help get my skin barier healed and have a simple skin care routine, I found a cleanser that works, I'm on the look out for spf 50 sunscreen that works for me, unfortunately I invested in too many sunscreens, and I only found one which is spf 30 and it hasn't broken me out, on the lookout for a moisturizer as well, my pores get clogged easily..

I have the same issue as you. I would generally recommend you to avoid fragrances. Regarding the sunscreen, I haven't tried it yet, but I have heard a lot of good things about the beauty of Joseon sun relief SPF 50. I'm currently using the Garnier Ambre Solaire anti age super UV SPF 50 but I find it a little irritating around my nose and chin, so I'm not sure if it is the best option for sensitive skin. As for the moisturizer, my favourite, out of those I have tried so far, is The Ordinary natural moisturizing factors + HA. I also use the La Roche Posay cicaplast baume B5 as a moisturizer at nights only, since I have very oily skin. The cicaplast also helps with barrier repair. Last but not least, I've found that niacinamide (I use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%) helps woth clogged pores, as well as oil control and barrier repair.

The Ordinary Moisturizing Factors is a good option - it contains linoleic acid (the % could be higher). Linoleic acid supports the skin barrier, but also can help make the skin sebum less pore-clogging

I really love Elta MD. They have a barrier renewal cream that I use once or twice a week too and that helped! Anytime I wear a tinted sunscreen I make sure that I double cleanse!!! Hope that helps

For sunscree I use the supergoop 100% mineral cc cream SPF 50. It is the only sunscreen that has not broken me out and has done wonders for my irritation. It does not feel oily but it does help to keep your skin moisturized.

*One thing that completlely changed my skin for better is shaving my face once a week. I have sensitive acne-prone combination skin and was afraid of shaving but it ended up doing wonders for my skin. I get less clogged pores and blackheads and my skin looks healthier than ever!

Hope my suggestions help!!
