Hi, I have redness under my nose on both sides to my lips which seems to be due to my rosacea, any products that can help? I’ve tried the Dr Jart green cream but it doesn’t seem to help much, and I have been alternating vitamin C/azelaic acid/tretinoin as my actives. For reference I have combo skin with oily T and dry cheeks, but also blackheads on my nose.
Tretinoin can be too harsh in the area that is already irritated, I'd protect it with a layer of vaseline at night before you apply tretinoin to the rest of your face.
The same goes for Ascorbic Acid - do not apply on the red area to avoid making the irritation worse. the key is to strengthen the skin barrier in this area as much as possible (so minimum actives, and solid moisturization and protection).
Also, avoid getting toothpaste on the skin. Again, a protective layer of vaseline before brushing teeth can help.
